As a member of a dynamic engineering team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and influence the design of new features, keep updated of new features distributed in major new releases of Windows operating systems and work in the area of file systems, clustering, security and solution for cloud security.
The Software Engineer will build and implement new features and maintain existing features in CTE product. This position with other Developers, QA engineers, support engineers and Product Managers throughout the software development life cycle.
Research, design and implement cross-platform kernel software, mostly at the file system and storage level layers.
Design code with special attention to performance and correctness.
Collaborate with the project managers in US to understand the customer requirements and use cases. Work with architects to expand the requirement and write the design/functional specifications.
Work with support and compatibility teams to solve customer escalations.
Attend North America customer calls to understand customer configuration, collect relevant technical logs, analyze them and provide the solution in timely manner. Provide the necessary timely updates to customer on escalation progress.
Develop unit tests and ensure quality of the product; required to work with the system test team to define test plans, troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
The candidate must be able to use the Linux tool chain both in user space and in
