Amazon is seeking a technical leader to head a specialized team building the next generation of infrastructure management systems for AWS Networking Services. Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading multi-tier web services.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• 1+ years of technical leadership and project management.
• 1+ years of Java, C#, or C++ development.
• 1+ years of SOA and distributed systems experience.
• 1+ years of distributed programming experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks lifecycle and best practices.
• Experience partnering with product or program management.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a group of software engineers, including hiring and career development.
• Lead design reviews, code quality, and architectural decisions for infrastructure management APIs.
• Drive technical strategy for on-device gateways, SDKs, and observability platforms across languages.
• Collaborate with leadership and customers to identify features delivering measurable value.
• Translate business requirements into engineering plans and drive multiple projects to delivery.
• Establish design review processes and high standards for reliability and security.
• Analyze performance, defects, and technical debt to reduce operational load.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and maintain delivery commitments.
• Foster rapid innovation while upholding code quality and operational excellence.
• Communicate technical vision and progress to senior leadership.
