Job summary

Amazon in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Manager for Andes Storage / Cairns to lead a team building next-gen data lake services and analytics tools. You will own architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and partner with product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable storage and catalog capabilities.

You will work with AWS data tech like S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, and Athena, and leverage open source frameworks to empower analysts and data scientists at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering team management experience
• 8+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of designing or architecting of new and existing systems experience
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
