Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the Data Engineering function within 3PX Analytics & Insights. You will own the data infrastructure, pipelines, and platform capabilities powering dashboards, AI tools, and Private Pricing applications globally.

You will build and mentor a team of senior data engineers, define the data platform roadmap, and collaborate with product managers, BI engineers, and software engineers to deliver scalable data solutions that drive

Qualifications

• 5+ years of processing data with massively parallel technology
• 5+ years of relational database technology experience
• 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics
• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience hiring, developing and promoting engineers
• Experience communicating to senior management and customers

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of senior data engineers, hiring, mentoring, setting technical direction.
• Own the data platform strategy and roadmap for the team’s portfolio, including Redshift clusters and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Manage and optimize Redshift infrastructure for performance and scalability.
• Own data pipelines for AI-powered tools powering GenAI and ML applications.
• Drive data engineering for dashboards and internal software products.
• Establish data governance, quality, and reliability standards with monitoring and SLAs.
• Partner with product managers, BI engineers, and software engineers to translate requirements into scalable architecture.
• Represent data engineering in planning and leadership forums and communicate trade-offs to senior leadership.
• Drive operational excellence with on-call processes and incident response.
