Job summary

Redwood Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Software Development Manager to lead and mentor a software engineering team while hands-on coding alongside project teams. You will drive feature development, set coding standards, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver on strategic initiatives.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in computer science and at least six years in software development, with strong experience in C# / .NET, SQL Server, REST APIs, and modern DevOps

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or closely related field
• Six or more years of software development experience
• Experience leading and coaching a team
• Experience with C# / .NET and SQL Server

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a software development team to deliver features.
• Act as player-coach alongside project teams on development efforts.
• Recruit, hire, and coach staff.
• Develop and review software development standards and ensure adherence.
• Oversee complex IT projects, conversions, and cutovers with uptime focus.
• Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders on requirements, status, issues, and opportunities.
• Communicate with 3rd party vendors providing support and development.
