Description

APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop software and firmware for video decoder hardware. Research, design, develop, implement, test and debug video decoder firmware and driver. Study video decoder technical reference manual. Design video decoder driver and firmware interface. Develop decoder class to prepare decode command to drive video decoder hardware. Review software source code to identify defects and performance issues. Run tests and regression to verify software and hardware. Analyze diagnostic reports and reconstruct failure scenarios to identify causes. Work with Apple's designer, platform architecture, platform emulation and design verification team to bring up video decoder firmware and driver. Work closely with driver team on mobile and embedded platforms to combine cutting-edge software engineering techniques with next-generation hardware. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 - $264,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
