Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Software Development Engineer to own the development, implementation, and test of operational tooling for the Leo mission. You will collaborate with ground and space systems teams to deliver integrated solutions for mission readiness and on-orbit demonstrations.

You will design tests, drive automation, and scale tools to minimize manual intervention while maximizing fleet performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, implementation, and test of operational tooling for the Leo mission.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across ground and space systems to deliver integrated solutions for mission readiness.
• Design, conduct operational tests, and drive automation to enable scalable, autonomous fleet operations.
• Work with flight directors and Leo software teams to implement improvements and tooling for operational execution.
