We are the Prime Video Live Events team, revolutionize the way our customers search, discover and enjoy live events from sports, to music, to breaking news and political debates. Since September 2018, we've launched full-scale live streaming experiences, starting with NFL’s Thursday Night Football, and expanded to multi-game viewing experiences like the English Premier League in the UK. We’re building innovative solutions for discovering engaging live content, including low-latency, high-TPS services managing live events across devices, including Alexa, and engaging customers offline and via social media. What will you do?

We seek smart, motivated Software Development Engineers to help build personalized discovery experiences for thousands of live streaming events worldwide, utilizing technologies like machine learning. If you have experience building large-scale, high-performance, customer-centric products, and designing distributed systems to handle large datasets and complex problems at Amazon scale, this role is for you. You'll leverage AWS cloud technologies like EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and Cloudfront to support billions of requests from millions of Prime Video users. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
  • Experience programming in at least one software language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 annually, depending on location and experience, with additional benefits and total compensation options. Apply via our career site. This position remains open until filled.
