Job description

FloQast is looking for a Software Engineer in Test who will play a key role in ensuring the quality of high-impact features on the FloQast product line. This individual will identify product and engineering opportunities to build solutions that exceed customer quality expectations. The right candidate should have a track record of testing, deploying, debugging, and optimizing customer-facing applications in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with your team, sales, and customers to define, prioritize, and develop software that accelerates delivery.

FloQast is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, and seeks US-based REMOTE candidates. Visa sponsorship is NOT available at this time. We will stop accepting applications at 5pm Eastern on Thursday (3/6).

What You'll Do

1. Write automated tests for high-quality, user-focused experiences using Jest, Selenium, and with knowledge of React, NodeJS, and MongoDB.
2. Leverage AWS, GitHub Actions, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, Lambda, and Step Functions to ensure features are correct, reliable, and meet performance needs.
3. Develop and implement simple, effective solutions that increase deploy frequency, reduce lead time, or decrease defect rate.
4. Own and improve quality throughout the SDLC, participate in daily releases, and collaborate on issue resolution across environments.
5. Participate in or lead discussions and implementations on multiple complex projects, contributing to our technical vision.
6. Act on customer feedback, data, and growth needs to maintain an agile environment, focusing on the most important tasks.
7. Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and systems to enhance team productivity.

What You'll Bring

1. 1-3 years of professional full-stack testing experience in web app development, RESTful API, or CI/CD testing at one or more reputable companies.
2. Proficiency in JavaScript, Jest, and Selenium, with the ability to develop testing patterns at static, unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
3. A proven track record of improving team output and efficiency, shipping high-quality products and features, or scaling projects.
4. Motivation to bring products to market, solve customer problems, and grow your skills and the business.

This position is for our Software Development Engineer in Test Level II, with a pay range of $80,000 - $120,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
