Networks SQA - Software Development Engineer in Test II

Join our Networks SQA team! Our Networks Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team ensures our global platform's reliability by testing all routing and switching hardware and software used. We build automation infrastructure for qualification testing and collaborate with Networks Engineering teams to validate network topologies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system test plans to ensure highly effective test coverage & automation
• Create and deploy automated system tests to replicate real world scenarios
• Improve testing methodologies and procedures to enhance test automation efficiency
• Review product & system design requirements to verify accuracy of test plans and test cases

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience developing test automation in Python and full‑stack development
• Experience managing and troubleshooting Juniper or Cisco routers and switches
• Hands‑on Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) experience
• Experience in IP network design and routing architectures
• Strong teamwork and problem‑solving skills

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US‑based candidates only the base salary for this position ranges from $95,000 – $171,000/year; compensation may include incentive compensation, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
