Software Development Engineer III

Wanted by American Express Global Business Travel, Egencia in Bellevue, WA.

1. Design, develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools.
2. Propose improvements in design and processes, translating requirements into code.
3. Develop web tools and backend micro-services using multiple languages and frameworks, including Java, React, Spring, and Kotlin.
4. Improve software solutions for specific problems and resolve issues as they occur.
5. Complete development documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software applications.
6. Participate actively in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others.
7. Collaborate with technical staff, program management, and testing peers in developing assigned components.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and three (3) years of relevant experience.

1. Three (3) years of hands-on experience with Java, utilizing OOP design practices in a digital e-commerce industry, including Junit and CI/CD practices with Git.
2. Three (3) years of full-stack development experience using JavaScript and React, from persistence layer to user interaction.
3. Three (3) years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, micro-services, and industry-grade DevOps practices, including EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis, and Kubernetes.
4. Two (2) years of experience with Spring-based applications, RESTful APIs, and integration with other applications and data stores.

May work remotely within commuting distance from the Bellevue, WA office. Salary range: $137,259 - $203,000. #LI-DNI
