Job summary

Delta Airlines is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Atlanta to help plan, prototype and deploy features across front-end and back-end systems. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure aligned delivery, implement CI/CD pipelines, and support production with robust monitoring and automation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of programming experience, plus familiarity with AWS, DevOps, and secure SDLC practices.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a Programmer or related technical design role.
Experience with Spry Techniques.
Understanding of DevOps standards, practices and tools in an enterprise development environment.
Track record of designing applications inside an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud foundation or other well‑defined enterprise cloud.
Strong command of the full Software Development Lifecycle, building CI/CD pipelines and practicing Test‑Driven Development.
Essential awareness of Application Security standards and 12‑factor application development standards.
Experience with source control, build tools and GIT (GitHub, Bitbucket or other).
Reliably focused on well‑being and security of self, others, and personal information.
Embraces diverse individuals, thinking and styles.

Responsibilities

Planning, prototyping, and presenting new features and components of front‑end and back‑end to clients to ensure consistency with requirements.
Aiding the design, execution and enhancement of related systems, tools and processes.
Working with specialized teams, business groups and product owners to ensure that the code that is created meets their vision.
Fostering solutions for user and business requirements.
Adjusting to Security/Compliance system and controls requirements.
Developing communication pipelines and automation scripts.
Deploying services such as data sets and monitoring.
Implementing CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration.
Fixing issues from development through production, which requires being available for production support.
