Qualifications

• Five or more years of hands-on experience as a software engineer or related technical engineering role.
• Strong understanding of Agile Methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps principles, practices, and tools.
• Experience building software in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud or a leading enterprise cloud provider.
• Knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and test‑driven development.
• Fundamental knowledge of application security principles and the 12‑principle software development model.
• Proficiency with build tools, scripting, and version control (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar).
• Vaccination (COVID‑19) or willingness to be vaccinated, as required for U.S. based positions at Delta Air Lines, Inc.
• Commitment to protecting personal data and the data of others.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum age 18 and authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and demonstrate new features and components of front‑end and back‑end services to users, ensuring compliance with functional requirements.
• Support the design, implementation, and optimization of related techniques, tools, and workflows.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business groups, and product managers to guarantee that the delivered code meets their vision and expectations.
• Architect solutions that satisfy business and technical requirements.
• Align solutions with security/compliance frameworks and control requirements.
• Maintain a positive and constructive work attitude.
• Write unit tests, preferably before code implementation.
• Implement code.
• Develop delivery pipelines and automation scripts.
• Configure services, including databases and monitoring.
• Apply Service Reliability Engineering principles.
• Troubleshoot issues from development through production, with on‑call support for production incidents.
