Delta Airlines is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Montgomery, AL. The role focuses on creating and maintaining critical agency applications for the virtual Channels team, with strong emphasis on cloud-based DevOps practices using AWS and on-premises infrastructure.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on development with XML, TS, Spring, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Angular, Node, APIs, Oracle, and NoSQL.
Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud technologies.
Knowledge of test-driven development and embedded safety.
Experience with containers and DevOps tools like Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, CodeBuild/CodePipeline, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Nexus, GitLab, Agile.
Two or more years in an Agile team environment; strong focus on secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and support manufacturing applications used by the virtual Channels team.
Expand and maintain DevOps approaches for cloud infrastructure both on premises and in AWS.
Offer code evaluations, mentoring for junior developers.
Estimate deliverable timelines.
Translate complex business needs into functional code.
Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Create architectures and curate OpenAPI specifications.
Communicate effectively with leadership and business partners.
