Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, SE, CE or data science.
- 0–2 years software development experience incl. internships.
- Understanding of OOP and API-based architectures.
- Proficiency in C#, Python, Java, or C++ and Git basics.
- Familiarity with web technologies and problem solving.

Siemens is seeking an energetic and motivated **Junior Software Development Engineer** to join our Digital Solutions Software team. This entry-level position will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of software solutions that combine power system data, industrial connectivity, cloud technologies, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities.
Working closely with senior software engineers, architects, product managers, and power system experts, you will help develop modern applications and services that deliver intelligent insights, automation, predictive analytics, and operational value for customers across commercial, industrial, and utility environments.

- Assist in the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions supporting Siemens Digital Solutions products.
- Develop and enhance applications using modern software engineering practices and tools.

- Document technical designs, implementation details, and operational procedures.
- Support proof-of-concept and innovation projects involving AI, Industrial IoT, digital twins, and advanced analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Data Science.
- 0-2 years of software development experience including internships, co-ops, academic projects, or professional experience.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience developing software using one or more programming languages: C#; Python; Java; C++ Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of web technologies and API-based architectures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

The pay range for this position is $68,830 – $117,994. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
