Job description

Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Auria is seeking a talented software development engineer to develop web, mobile, and desktop applications for aerospace mission planning and scheduling. The developer will support ongoing software development contracts, enhance existing software tools, and develop new software products. The role requires an interest in DevSecOps and will function as Scrum Master for the DevSecOps team. This position is REMOTE within the continental United States.

Responsibilities:

1. Work in small development teams across all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
2. Collaborate internally with Software and Systems Engineers and directly with customers.
3. Innovate and develop solutions to challenging problems.
4. Serve as Scrum Master for the DevSecOps team.

Team Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of experience in object-oriented development.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with C# .NET in Visual Studio.
• At least 2 years experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, web services, and databases.
• Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of web application architecture and framework development.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of DSO and security principles.
• Experience with continuous delivery and deployment tools and best practices.
• Experience with version control and branching strategies, especially Git.
• Experience with configuration management.
• Experience in aerospace software development (2+ years).
• Knowledge of Docker or other containerization tools.
• Experience with SQL, relational database design, and MongoDB.
• At least 2 years experience with React.
• Proficiency with Linux.
• Familiarity with Satellite Tool Kit / Systems Tool Kit (STK) and Cesium.

Compensation:

The salary range is $90,000 - $165,000, based on qualifications, skills, education, and experience.
