Job summary

VIAC Services Company (Venerable) near West Chester, PA seeks Software Developers to build data-centric systems, micro-services, and web apps while contributing to the full ALM/DevOps lifecycle.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to craft feature stories and acceptance criteria, lead code reviews, and drive CI/CD automation and documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with enterprise-class SOA/micro-service systems and relational databases (Sybase ASE/Oracle) is required.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity) and AWS services (Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of OOA/OOD and Kanban/XP practices.

Work across the full ALM lifecycle on all elements of the team’s solutions and DevOps pipeline/tooling. Assist in design, implementation, validation, maintenance, and support system to satisfy Venerable customer focused application roadmaps and release plans. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop adequate feature stories, user stories, and acceptance criteria / usage scenarios to deliver effective, useful software. Ensure technical approaches align with architectural blueprints and approved Venerable practices. Work with product managers and release managers to define and schedule product releases and deliverables. Lead design reviews, code reviews, and practice reviews. Participate in documentation of team patterns, standards, and technical approaches. Engage in appropriate SCM, CI, CD, automated testing, and other DevOps practices. Create and maintain unit and BDD test harnesses, snippets, and scenarios. Prepare and maintain technical documentation. Assist with ongoing DevOps activities. Participate in L2+ support for team products and systems. Participate in ongoing operational and practice improvements.
