Job summary

SC Data Center, Inc. in Monroe, WI, part of Colony Brands, Inc., seeks a Software Developer to design and implement backend services using C#/.NET.

You will build RESTful APIs, modernize legacy systems for AWS cloud-native deployment, and develop scalable microservices within an Agile team. Join a collaborative IT group at the Monroe headquarters, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and continuous technology evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience developing software applications using C# and .NET.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications (AWS preferred).
• Experience with microservices, object-oriented design, and modern software architecture.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MySQL or DynamoDB.
• Experience using Git and modern source control practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or similar DevOps tooling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development team.
• Experience modernizing or replacing legacy applications is highly valued.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop backend business applications using C# and .NET
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs supporting enterprise financial and payment systems
• Modernize legacy applications into cloud-native services running in AWS
• Develop scalable microservices and event-driven solutions
• Collaborate on architecture, technical design, estimation, and Agile planning
• Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and mentor other developers
• Improve application performance, reliability, security, and maintainability
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and development practices that improve our products
