Job summary

SC Data Center, Inc. in Monroe, WI, part of Colony Brands, Inc., seeks a Software Developer to design and implement backend services using C#/.NET.

You will build RESTful APIs, modernize legacy systems for AWS cloud-native deployment, and develop scalable microservices within an Agile team. Join a collaborative IT group at the Monroe headquarters, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and continuous technology evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience developing software applications using C# and .NET.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications (AWS preferred).
• Experience with microservices, object-oriented design, and modern software architecture.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases such as MySQL or DynamoDB.
• Experience using Git and modern source control practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or similar DevOps tooling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development team.
• Experience modernizing or replacing legacy applications is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend applications using C# and .NET.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs supporting enterprise systems.
• Modernize legacy apps into cloud-native services on AWS.
• Develop scalable microservices and event-driven solutions.
• Contribute to architecture, design, estimation, and Agile planning.
• Write clean, secure, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Mentor other developers and improve application performance and security.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies to improve our products.
