Job summary

DCS Corporation is seeking a Software Developer Intern to join our Dayton, OH team, offering a hybrid office/remote arrangement and the chance to support ongoing software application development. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and support DoD customers on innovative solutions.

Applicants are pursuing a BS in software engineering or computer science, must be US citizens, and must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and work at least 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Pursuing a BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• In the last year of an Associate degree program with acceptance to a Bachelor's program, or 2nd year or higher in a BS program at an accredited institution.
• Experience with React or Next.JS.
• Able to work at least 20 hours per week.
• Local to Dayton, OH, and able to commute to the Wright-Patterson AFB vicinity.
• Willingness to contribute to project management-related activities.
• Ability to communicate and work directly with customers to achieve project goals.
• Knowledge of dependency injection and/or provider architecture.
• Experience with Rust, C++, or another low-level coding language.
• Proficient with version control software (Git) and software management tools (Gitlab).

Responsibilities

• Supporting DoD customers in their pursuit of developing, documenting, and maintaining integrative, efficient, and innovative software solutions.
• Working with multidisciplinary teams on joint, cross-functional software solutions.
• Participating in business development activities.
