Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union is seeking a Software Developer III in Melbourne, FL for a 6-month contract-to-hire position. You will design, code, and develop new financial applications or web systems and modify existing core platforms to meet business needs.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience within the SDLC, plus ability to provide Tier III support and help troubleshoot complex issues. SCCU offers a not-for-profit environment with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of software analysis, design, development, testing and deployment following the SDLC.
• Experience or training providing knowledge and skills to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Responds to end user trouble calls to resolve routine application software problems or assist with hardware issues remotely when possible; routes calls for higher level support and tracks tickets for knowledge base.
• Designs, develops, tests, and integrates moderately complex internal and external core and web applications and sites, including maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Provides tier III technical support for staff on internal and external core and web applications and systems.
• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies application systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and documentation; detects, diagnoses and reports problems.
