Job summary

Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) seeks a Manager of IT Development at its Melbourne Headquarters. You will oversee the IT Application Development team, shaping software strategy and delivering enterprise solutions with on- and off-shore resources.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated project management leading or supervising systems/applications development team members using proven SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile (Kanban, Scrum).
• Experience designing scalable, reliable software using Microsoft Stack (.NET, MVC, ASP.NET, VB.Net, C#, React/Angular/Blazor, ASPX, WPF, WinForms), JSON, XML, SOAP, and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Ability to build strong relationships with diverse teams within an organization
• Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
• A deep understanding of the software development life-cycle, and a track record of shipping software on time
• A passion for people management and mentorship

Responsibilities

• Manage resources and activities of the IT Application Development team comprised of on- and off-shore professionals responsible for providing software solutions for SCCU’s applications.
• Develop, maintain and execute on an IT Roadmap that forecasts and meets business needs.
• Understand stakeholder needs, features, and functionality and provide technical solutions.
• Manage and execute project plans to deliver commitments with quality within timelines and budgets.
• Work with project management to ensure accurate project status, risks are anticipated and mitigated, and issues are addressed quickly.
• Staff projects with the appropriate technical talent, track progress, and provide guidance to remove impediments and meet milestones.
• Drive continuous improvement by utilizing metrics and team feedback to improve engineering practices, processes, development and delivery.
• Provide coaching, technical direction, supervision and development of the IT Application Development team.
• Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to set objectives, review workload and performance.
