Dev Technology Group is seeking a Software Developer to support a federal O&M project implementing MFA for web applications, with emphasis on Identity & Access Management and SSO. Position is on-site in Tysons Corner, VA, three days per week, requiring U.S.

Citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust clearance. The role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team to design, implement, and validate secure authentication workflows, delivering a robust MFA solution and integrating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with five or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment.
• Experience with identity and access management and single sign-on, preferably with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams in deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and prototype secure user authentication mechanisms for web-based apps.
• Deliver a robust MFA solution leveraging IdP options such as AWS Cognito, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Collaborate with project manager and development lead to meet milestones and quality standards.

Dev Technology Group is looking for a Software Developer to supporta project to plan and implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for web-based applications as part ofOperations & Maintenance (O&M)for afederal government client. The ideal candidate will have relevantdevelopmentexperience,understanding ofIdentity & Access Management (IAM),strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment. This isa great opportunityto work on mission-critical systems that provide clear value to end users and our federal government clients.

Summary

In collaboration with the Project Manager, Development Lead, and incumbent team members, theSoftware Developerwill help to plan,design, and prototype the implementation ofsecureuserauthentication mechanisms for web-based applications.The primary focus of this role is to deliver a robust MFAsolutionleveragingindustry available and a customer preferredidentity provider(IdP)solution.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelor’s Degree withseven(7)or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise ITenvironment
• Experience withidentity and access managementandsingle sign-on, preferably withMicrosoftEntra ID
• Project experience developing and integratinguserauthentication workflow withweb-based applications, for exampleSpring security
• Excellent communication skills(both verbal and written) plusactivelistening skillsto collaborate with a large cross functional team
• Software delivery using the Agile Scrum or Kanbanmethodologyvia Jira

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Knowledge and implementation of MFA solutions, specificallyIdP’sAWS Cognito, Okta,Microsoft Entra ID, and/or Login.gov
• Knowledge and management of AWS GovCloud services,preferableCognito, Lambda, S3, EC2, and API Gateway
• Experience withDevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds,containerized environments,and version controlusing Jenkins or a similar tool
• Understanding of tokens, authentication andauthorization and best secure coding practices
• Familiarity with implementing phishing-resistant MFA protocols, including PIV/CAC integration or authentication standards
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
• Experience implementing passwordpolicies and account recovery flows
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect)
