Job summary

Zekiah Technologies, Inc. seeks a Software Developer to join our DoD-focused team in the United States. You will develop high-quality software for mission-critical operations, work across Windows, Unix, and Linux environments, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to enhance products.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of professional experience, is a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance (or higher), and is versed in one of C/C++, C#, .NET, Java, Python, AWS, PHP, or data

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional technical experience.
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting.
• Team collaboration across developers, testers, and CM specialists.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly to coders, teammates, and management.
• Familiarity with Agile development and DoD environment is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the SDLC.
• Develop tools and applications with clean, efficient code.
• Design relational databases and perform testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve products.
• Document development phases and monitor systems.

Description

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Software Developer with a desire to grow while working with a skilled and highly motivated team on leading-edge work. Our team provides IT services for systems engineering and information management systems to multiple major DoD programs. Each team member has opportunities to take on responsibilities according to their experience level and professional growth goals. This position supports an established contract developing mission-critical operations. Our customer’s framework continues to evolve. Evaluating, learning, and integrating new technologies will be a constant factor in this position. The responsibilities of this role include:

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Design relational databases
• Requirements analysis
• Unit and integration testing
• Verification and validation testing
• Peer test application updates
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Review and debug code
• Perform validation and verification testing
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products
• Document development phases and monitor systems
• Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies
• Write and maintain application documentation
• Work in Windows, Unix, and Linux environments
• Work in a SCIF environment

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have all of the following:

• Two (2) years of professional technical experience in the form of employment history
• Experience and strong desire to invent new ways of approaching problems and developing innovative applications
• Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting applications to facilitate fixes and improvements
• Ability to communicate ideas to coders, teammates, and management
• Experience working as part of a team of developers, coders, testers, and CM specialists
• Experience with the military/DoD is a bonus, but not required
• Experience using an Agile development approach is beneficial
• Familiarity with geospatial web-based map development is a bonus, but not required
• CompTIA Security+, equivalent or higher (such as CISSP), or willingness to obtain, is highly desired
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, (High School Diploma or Associate Degree acceptable for well-experienced candidates)
• CompTIA Security+, equivalent or higher (such as CISSP), or willingness to obtain within 90 days of the start date

The successful candidate will have (at least) 2 years of experience in ONE of the following:

• C/C++
• C#
• .NET
• Java
• Python
• Amazon Web Services
• PHP
• Data Science (with coding experience)
• Experience with WPF libraries, data access libraries (such as MVC)

Clearance Requirements

This position requires an active Secret clearance. To be considered for this position, an applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active Secret security clearance (or higher).
