Amentum seeks a Journeyman Software Developer to join our Wright-Patterson AFB, OH team. The role involves web and software development, collaboration, and hands-on learning in a supportive environment.

Remote/hybrid work may be allowed, with on-site expectations and relocation options within an hour of Wright-Patterson. You will gain practical experience, learn clean coding, debugging, and solving real-world problems while growing with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline with 2+ years software development.
• Or a High school diploma/GED with 3+ years software development experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with Java development and unit/integration testing.
• Experience with Ant and Maven build tools.
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket CM tools.
• Must live within one hour of Wright Patterson AFB or relocate to the area.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs; must be able to obtain facility credentials; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, development, and engineering of software solutions using SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Java.
• Support development and communicate weekly status reports.
• Assist in demonstrations of code and contribute to team efforts when required.
• Assist with development of production design requirements and Software Design Documents (SDDs).
