Job summary

Stanley Reid & Company seeks a Software Developer in Chantilly, VA to maintain and extend a large, mission‑critical, user‑facing application. You will work on a codebase in a Linux/AWS environment, leveraging Docker/Kubernetes and related tools to deliver impactful solutions.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is a software and systems development firm, built by veterans of the IC/DoD with a focus on delivering impactful solutions rapidly. They are searching for a talented Software Developer to join their team supporting large, mission‑critical, user‑facing applications. In this role, you will work to maintain the existing codebase and extend it as it continues to grow.

Qualifications

• Strong writing applications and services in Java and at least one of Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Experience developing applications and services in an AWS environment.
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, and Helm.
• Familiarity with developing and delivering in a Linux environment.
• Experience with relational databases—PostgreSQL or MySQL; or document databases—Elasticsearch, Solr; or big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark.
• Experience with Git and Git‑based workflows.

Clearance requirement: TS/SCI with FS Poly, REQUIRED for consideration.

Location: Chantilly, VA. 100% onsite.
