Job summary

stanleyreid is seeking talented Cloud Engineers to support large, mission-critical, user-facing applications in an AWS environment. The role focuses on building, monitoring, and sustaining services while ensuring security clearance requirements are met.

The position is 100% onsite in Chantilly, VA, requiring TS/SCI with FS Poly. The engineer will work with container technologies and relational/document databases to deliver reliable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS experience building infrastructure and sustaining applications in Linux environments.
• IaC using Terraform and related tooling.
• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, Helm.
• Proficiency with Java, Python, or JavaScript in Linux environments.
• Relational/Document databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch.
• Git and Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS-based infrastructure and services.
• Develop and manage cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Containerize and orchestrate applications (Docker/Kubernetes/Helm).
• Develop and debug applications in Java, Python, or JavaScript on Linux.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL/Elasticsearch and monitor performance.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver mission-critical deployments.

Successful Cloud Engineers will have:

• Writing cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) - Terraform
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, and Helm
• Familiar with delivering and debugging applications written in Java, Python, JavaScript in Linux environments
• Experience with relational databases-PostgreSQL, MySQL, or document databases - Elasticsearch, Soir
• Experience with Git and Git-based workflows
