Job summary

Insight Xcite, located in Chantilly, Virginia, is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain mission-focused software for high-priority government missions. This role emphasizes secure coding, APIs, and enterprise applications in fast-paced environments.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of software development experience and proficiency in Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript, with Agile and DevOps experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
• Minimum 6 years of software development experience.
• Experience with Git, version control, and SDLC practices.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience developing APIs, enterprise applications, or distributed systems.

Insight Xcite is seeking a Software Developer to support mission‑critical operational and enterprise environments within the Intelligence Community. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining secure applications and services supporting high‑priority customer missions. The ideal candidate has strong software development experience, thrives in fast‑paced environments, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges across a variety of mission and enterprise systems. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, mission requirements, and overall alignment with customer and contract needs.

The pay range for this role is:

185,000 - 240,000 USD per year (Government Client Site – Herndon VA)
