We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer / Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join our Phantom Works Weapons team located in St. Charles, MO, within the St. Louis area. This team plays a critical role in supporting future weapons programs, including the Next Generation Cruise Missile program. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that involve interdisciplinary collaboration, systems thinking, and innovative technical solutions. As part of this team, you will work on developing software solutions for complex challenges, ensuring safety, security, and reliability in demanding operational environments. The role requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret and Special Program Access, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work involved.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or related fields, with extensive experience in software development. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in programming languages such as C++, Python, and C#, along with proficiency in Linux development environments. Experience with version control systems like Git, software architecture development, network communication protocols (TCP/UDP), and open architecture frameworks is essential. For senior roles, candidates with 9 or more years of relevant experience, including active Top Secret/SCI clearance, are preferred. Knowledge of software development tools, validation processes, and domain-specific constraints will be advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate a strong ability to build, troubleshoot, and integrate software components within complex systems.
