Job summary

Noblis in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Software Developer to design, code, test, and debug new software and enhancements across a forensic and investigative ecosystem.

You will work on enterprise applications in a multi‑enclave government environment, supporting performance, security, and user requirements while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

This role requires TS/SCI eligibility, US citizenship, and experience with SAFe, SDLC, and modern programming languages.

Qualifications

  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and CI polygraph ability.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • 5+ years software development experience.
  • Proficiency in Java, .NET/C#, Python; frontend JS frameworks.
  • SQL databases; REST APIs (ASP.NET Core, Flask, Django, Express, Spring).
  • Git and SDLC; debugging and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and debug new software and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve software issues.
  • Implement desktop design, testing, and security hardening.
  • Integrate with automated patching and deployment tech.
  • Document applications and environments for maintenance.
  • Participate in PIs and ART activities; support multi‑enclave environment.

Software Developer

Location: Chantilly, Fairfax County, VA.

As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for developing code, tests, and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software. You will support business applications and meet user, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements for a forensic and investigative ecosystem across multiple enterprise applications in a multi‑enclave environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and debug new software solutions and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
  • Resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Implement desktop design, testing, security lockdown, and integration with standard software packages.
  • Integrate with automated patching and deployment technologies.
  • Assist in development of software user manuals.
  • Document applications, services, and environments for future maintenance.
  • Automate application and configuration deployments and updates.
  • Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
  • Support the multi‑enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret).
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile framework.
  • Solid understanding of forensic and investigative data requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing software solutions in secure government environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree with 5 years of experience OR Associate degree with 8 years of experience OR High School/Diploma with 11 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Proficiency with:
    • One or more programming languages/frameworks: Java, .NET (C#), Python.
    • Frontend development using JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, Bootstrap).
    • Relational Databases and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL).
    • REST APIs using technologies such as ASP.NET Core, Flask, Django, Express.js, or Spring Boot.
    • Git and other source control management systems.
    • Software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
    • Debugging and problem‑solving techniques.
Desired Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with data processing, automation and ETL workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Experience with server side technologies (Apache Tomcat).
  • Experience with log analytics and observability platforms, particularly Splunk.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working in classified environments.
