For one of our going on project we are looking for Software Developer - AKKA - Scala. The position is based out of New York, NY.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of development experience on SCALA, Akka actor framework.
• 4+ years of experience in Scala
• Good experience in building web application with Scala and Scala for Big data or Analytics
• Strong object-oriented design skills, data structure, and algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) within an Agile framework.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
  
  

Desired Skills

• Experience in financial services with exposure to residential mortgage lending.
• Experience with task management tools such as JIRA
• Solid understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and development
• Practiced understanding of Agile development methodologies & understanding of DevOps Integration
• The ability to write reusable, optimized, maintainable code that is well documented and follows industry-standard best practices
• Good problem solving skills
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment with geographically distributed team members
• Good communication and presentation skills: ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, across all stakeholder groups and with staff from junior to senior levels
