Job summary
Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Software Development Engineer to partner with product and development teams to understand and execute the CMIS platform vision. The role involves designing and implementing engineering applications within the internal framework and collaborating with discipline engineers to define scope, schedule and cost.
The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Cranberry Woods facility in Cranberry Township, PA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years software development experience.
- Proficiency with .NET (C# and MVC) and SQL/Database Design.
- Experience with HTML/JavaScript/CSS and web APIs.
- Experience with Java, TypeScript, jQuery, Oracle, REST APIs, UI Design, and Bootstrap.
- Understanding of object-oriented, event-driven, and procedural programming paradigms.
Responsibilities
- Work with Westinghouse's internal application framework tool in the development of engineering applications.
- Support other developers in the maintenance and testing of existing applications
- Interfacing with discipline engineers to support development and execution of functional requirements.

You will report to the Manager of Software Development. This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. No relocation will be provided for this position.
- Work with Westinghouse's internal application framework tool in the development of engineering applications.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
