Job summary

Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer to design and enhance software solutions that support aerospace, automotive, nuclear and medical testing. You will work in Latrobe/Youngstown, PA area, providing technical support and developing new software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of software development experience preferred.
• SQL server database development is a plus.
• Experience with Visual Studio, WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET, MS SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, C#, C++, and Visual Basic is a bonus.
• Familiar with source control platforms, Microsoft DevOps with Git, and TFS.
• Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to varied individuals at all organizational levels.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality and a strong sense of discretion.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Possess outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Understanding of diverse computer systems and networks including virtual computers, Microsoft operating systems, and Remote Desktop environments.
• Possess knowledge of security and data privacy principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
• Ability to work in team environment and is flexible to changing demands.

Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research is looking to fill our Software Developer role. In this position you will also be involved in the development of new software solutions, and support of existing software. You will also provide technical support to employees as needed.
