Overview

Amyx is seeking to hire a Software Developer-Intermediate to support our Cybersecurity Division/NGA Defender in the NCR (Offsite) Contractor Site area. The role involves developing, creating, maintaining, and modifying computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan the development of new applications or modifications of existing ones.
  2. Assess user needs and software requirements for feasibility within time and budget constraints.
  3. Apply coding and testing standards, including security testing tools and conduct code reviews.
  4. Document secure code and incorporate security controls during development.
  5. Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and programmers to design applications and understand project limitations.
  6. Evaluate hardware-software interfaces and correct errors to ensure desired results.
  7. Design, develop, and modify software using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
  8. Develop secure code and error handling mechanisms.
  9. Identify security implications and incorporate security measures in software development.
  10. Perform security testing, risk analysis, and validate software security and resiliency.
  11. Translate security requirements into software design elements and define attack surfaces.
  12. Design countermeasures against potential exploits and leverage enterprise security services.
  13. Conduct program testing, validation, and documentation.
  14. Maintain and upgrade existing software for performance and security enhancements.
  15. Apply cybersecurity functions such as encryption, access control, and identity management.
  16. Coordinate with customers and supervise programming and documentation efforts.
  17. Implement applications with PKI and security services as appropriate.
  18. Address security implications during software acceptance and deployment phases.
  19. Manage data for system analysis and translate security requirements into application design.
  20. Identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • TS/SCI clearance required to start; ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • 8140 Certification: CSSLP.
