Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a hands-on Software Development Manager to lead the RAM team, guiding resource sharing across accounts and organizations. You will shape the long-term strategy, build scalable systems, and partner with service teams to broaden RAM's reach.
In this high‑visibility role, you will recruit and mentor engineers, drive security and reliability, and ensure operational excellence as RAM grows. Arlington, VA staff position with competitive compensation and benefits.
We are looking for a strong, hands‑on Software Development Manager to lead the AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM) team. RAM is the service that lets customers securely share AWS resources across accounts and organizations, and our vision is bold: make every AWS resource type shareable. Today, RAM supports dozens of resource types. Tomorrow, we want every resource in the AWS ecosystem to be shareable with the simplicity, security, and governance that customers expect. You will be the leader who makes that happen — working with service teams across all of AWS to bring resource sharing to every corner of the cloud. This is a high‑visibility role at the intersection of security, multi‑tenancy, and platform scale. If you're excited by the idea of building the connective tissue that lets organizations collaborate seamlessly across account boundaries, this role is for you.
The Resource Access Manager (RAM) team builds and operates the service that enables AWS customers to securely share resources across accounts and organizations. We're part of AWS Identity and Access Management, and our mission is to make every AWS resource type shareable. We work at the intersection of security, scale, and cross‑team collaboration — partnering with services across AWS to expand the reach of resource sharing. Our culture values deep ownership, pragmatic delivery, and investing in each other's growth. If you want to build platform infrastructure that shapes how millions of customers govern their AWS environments, this is the team.
