Responsibilities

  • Independently troubleshoot, test and coordinate resolving reported DataBridgePro software and/or data issues while consistently providing status to internal and external customers on a timely basis with limited supervision
  • Consistently log, update and maintain assigned issue statuses in web-based incident tracking tool
  • Verifies and documents system defects
  • Create, maintain and store internal documentation related to support process and procedures
  • Continuously expand knowledge on products and solutions offered by Hexagon ALI and stay current on new developments within the related industry
  • Be a liaison for internal and external customers to other internal departments, e.g. Development, Quality Assurance etc.
  • Provide training/presentations on applications both internally and externally
  • Identify trends and recommend operational solutions to provide better customer support
  • Contribute to and/or lead individual and team projects as proposed by department leadership

Responsibilities

Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is looking for a Support Consultant with responsibilities to support and develop solutions for DatabridgePro, powered by Apache Nifi. The Support Consultant provides problem solving analysis and technical support for the DataBridgePro software application and/or related data issues in a multi-tiered enterprise software environment. Supports specific internal/external customers on all aspects of user reported technical/data problems or questions involving Hexagon ALI and related software packages. Deals directly with internal and external customers to ascertain problems and assist in resolving them while striving to build and maintain strong customer relations and partnerships. Troubleshoots problems and contacts other teams (e.g. Development, Quality Assurance) as necessary for consultations. Demonstrates proficiency using appropriate tools and platforms. The consultant must be self-motivated and able to work in an exciting fast paced environment.

Required Skills

Strong technical troubleshooting skills for software support

Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and custom third-party APIs (e.g., REST, Web Services)

Experience connecting to Azure Data Lakes or similar cloud storage systems

Familiarity with software integration and data transformation tools

Adapt and learn to explore and learn new technologies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and resolve critical customer issues

Education / Qualifications

Preferred Skills

Relevant computer certifications (a plus)

Hands-on experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases

Groovy script writing, Data transformation using Avro or other schema types

Experience working on software integration projects

Experience working with Apache-Nifi software package or similar ETL tools

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, Master’s Degree a plus

Minimum two years’ experience in customer facing service/support role utilizing technical skills
