Job summary

ARA Brand is seeking a Junior Software Cloud Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on building secure cloud-based software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT, relevant certifications, and be willing to work on-site in Raleigh, NC or San Antonio, TX.

Key qualifications include U.S. Citizenship, DoD Secret Clearance, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, alongside strong programming skills in languages like Go or Python.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; green card holders are not eligible.
• Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher required.
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience desired.
• Good oral & written communication skills essential.
• Must be a team player and strive to maximize team performance.
• Willing to work on-site daily at Raleigh, NC or San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities

• Work with a collaborative team to design and implement secure cloud-based software solutions.
• Assist in acquiring and maintaining Special Access Program access.
• Obtain necessary certifications within the timeframe set.

Skills

Hands-on experience with AWS

Proficiency in programming languages such as Go and Python

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes

Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a closely related field

Software Cloud Engineer - Junior Position Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship (No exceptions; green card holders are not eligible).
• Current DoD Secret Clearance (or higher).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a closely related field with 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Successfully acquire and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access
• Successfully obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.) within 60 days of hire.
• Good oral & written communication skills.
• Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team & department performance.
• Willing to work on-site, daily, at our Raleigh, NC or San Antonio, TX location.
