Job Title: ITAM Analyst III – Software Asset Management (SAM/HAM Hybrid)

Target Pay Rate: $60/hr
Software Asset Management (Primary Focus)
- Manage software assets throughout the full lifecycle, including requests, approvals, procurement support, licensing, renewals, reclamation, retirement, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain and govern software inventory records, licenses, subscriptions, entitlements, contracts, warranties, vendor information, and renewal dates.
- Perform license reconciliation, entitlement validation, software metering, compliance assessments, and audit support activities.
- Analyze software utilization data to identify cost‑saving opportunities, license optimization strategies, duplicate applications, and renewal risks.
- Support software governance initiatives, vendor management activities, and software catalog maintenance.
- Produce operational and leadership reporting related to software usage, compliance, renewals, vendor performance, and asset health.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Security, Legal, Workforce, Endpoint, Support Center, and application owners to improve software lifecycle management.
Hardware Asset Management (Onsite Support)
- Maintain accurate hardware asset records, including laptops, mobile devices, monitors, and peripherals.
- Support equipment deployments, refreshes, recoveries, inventory audits, and lifecycle management activities.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, storage, assignment, returns, and disposal of technology assets.
- Participate in physical inventory reviews and hardware‑related projects at the Reston office.
- Assist with urgent asset recovery efforts and occasional after‑hours support when required.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5-7+ years of IT Asset Management experience.
- Strong Software Asset Management (SAM) experience in an enterprise environment.
- Experience managing software licenses, subscriptions, entitlements, renewals, and compliance initiatives.
- Proven background supporting Hardware Asset Management functions.
- Experience working with vendors, procurement teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders.

- Exposure to AI‑enabled productivity tools and operational workflows.
- Experience supporting software audits, true‑ups, and governance programs.
- Familiarity with software discovery, normalization, and optimization practices.
