Job summary

Peraton is seeking a senior enterprise architect to provide architectural oversight for development of new or enhanced products on complex, mission-critical systems. You will articulate the architectural vision, model interfaces, and validate architectures against requirements while guiding teams across development, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's in CS/IT or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience; or Master's with 10+ years.
  • 10+ years of experience in mainframe software architecture and development for large-scale systems.
  • Expertise in COBOL, CICS, BMS, JCL, VSAM, and IBM Assembler (ALC).
  • Experience with Java development in mainframe/enterprise environments preferred.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools: GitHub, Jenkins, DBB.
  • Proficiency with scripting: Python, PowerShell, REXX, CLIST, Perl.
  • Ability to design and validate enterprise architectures against complex requirements.
  • Experience with healthcare claims processing systems, Medicare modules.
  • Experience with CMS programs or contracts.
  • Agile/SCRUM within SAFe framework.
  • Strong communication; ability to present to government clients.
  • Must obtain Public Trust clearance; Must be a US Citizen.

Job description

Responsibilities

Provides architectural and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced products. Articulates the architectural vision, conceptualizes, and experiments with alternative architectural approaches, creates models and component and interface specification documents, and validates the architecture against requirements and assumptions. Works with various product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to create software products containing required features and modifications. Provides technical advice to other departments within the organization and may be responsible for integrating components built by product developers. Works without supervision on highly complex projects. Wide latitude for independent judgment. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience; orMaster'sdegree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience inmainframesoftware architecture and development, withdemonstratedexperience in large-scale, mission-critical systems.
  • Advancedproficiencywith mainframe technologies includingCOBOL, CICS, BMS, JCL, VSAM, and IBM Assembler (ALC).
  • Demonstrated experience withJavadevelopment in a mainframe or enterprise environmenta plus.
  • Experience withDevSecOpstools and frameworks, includingGitHub, Jenkins, and IBM Dependency Based Build (DBB)a plus
  • Proficiencywith scripting languages such asPython, PowerShell, REXX, CLIST, or Perl.
  • Demonstrated ability to design andvalidateenterprise-level architectures against complex regulatory and technical requirements.
  • Experience with healthcare claims processing systems, particularly Medicare FeeForService.
  • Experience withMedicare DME, Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, or the Medicare Common Working File (CWF) specific processing systems.
  • Experience working with or in support ofCMSprograms or contracts.
  • Application lifecyclemethodologyexperience, specificallyAgile/SCRUMwithin aSAFeframework.
  • Strong communicationskills withdemonstratedability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including government clients.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintainaPublic Trustclearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools:Jira, Confluence, Slack.
  • Familiarity with CMS security frameworks including theCMS Acceptable Risk Safeguards (ARS)andCMS Technical Reference Architecture (TRA).
  • Experience with theECHIMPchange management process or equivalent CMS change control processes.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
