Peraton is seeking a Senior Advisor Software Architect to provide architectural oversight for development of complex products. You will articulate the architectural vision, model interfaces, and validate architectures against requirements while collaborating with product teams and customers.
The role requires 12+ years in mainframe architecture, strong COBOL/CICS/BMS/JCL/VSAM skills, and experience with DevSecOps tools. Public Trust clearance and US citizenship are required.

Provides architectural and big picture oversight for development of new or enhanced products. Articulates the architectural vision, conceptualizes, and experiments with alternative architectural approaches, creates models and component and interface specification documents, and validates the architecture against requirements and assumptions. Works with various product developers, product managers, and customer application experts to create software products containing required features and modifications. Provides technical advice to other departments within the organization and may be responsible for integrating components built by product developers. Works without supervision on highly complex projects. Wide latitude for independent judgment. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
