Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions, Inc. in Maryland seeks a Software Architect (Journeyman) to join onsite at APG. You will design, analyze, and test software systems, translating user requirements into robust technical solutions while collaborating with engineering and operations.

Requires a CS/engineering degree (or 5+ years experience in lieu); 3 years recent experience; strong DevSecOps, Kubernetes, scripting (PowerShell), and front-end design skills; security clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering/technical discipline required.
• Three (3) years of experience within the last five years.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into system, hardware, and software designs.
• Develop test strategies and participate in software testing.
• Solve engineering problems in the assigned functional area.
• Support SW Dev & Integration, DevSecOps, and container lifecycle tasks.
• Contribute to front-end design and scripting activities.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

The SWE will provide functional and empirical analysis related to the testing of software systems. The SWE's full time duty location will be onsite at APG.

Must have experience in the following:

• Interacting with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
• Participate in the development of test strategies.
• Solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.
• SW Dev & Integration background
• DevSecOps: Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CI/CD
• Kubernetes: Container lifecycle, create & customize
• Scripting: PowerShell, Batch
• Front-end Web Design

Qualifications
