Job summary

i-Link Solutions supports the State of NY Office of Mental Health in Albany for a Software Architect - Expert role. The incumbent will guide multiple development teams through the SDLC, drive SOA-based architecture, and leverage Salesforce to build enterprise OMH applications.

The role requires 7+ years in Salesforce projects, strong REST/SOAP design, and expertise in OAuth2/JWT/SSO. A Bachelor’s degree and Salesforce Architect cert are required, with mentoring responsibilities across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance & assistance to various development teams during full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Guide & advise various development teams on software design & architecture matters.

Description

Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:

• Provide guidance & assistance to various development teams during full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Collaborate with other Technical Architects to create and foster a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment for OMH applications.
• Participate in business analysis and systems development lifecycle.
• Use the Salesforce platfom to develop applications.
• Prepare scripts to create and modify existing Oracle tables, create indexes, constraints, triggers, views, etc., code stored procedures and packages, convert and migrate data when necessary.
• Data manipulation, including manipulation of Protected Health Information data.
• Mentor and assist other programmers, both state and consultant, providing guidance for debugging, troubleshooting, securing and deploying applications, data access, data communications and system architecture configurations.
• Use a source code repository GitLab for checking source code in and out, branching off new versions of the source code.
• Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM. Escalate critical calls as necessary and join bridge calls to assist in diagnosis.
• Code applications that access Protected Health Information.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot various rules, calculations, and data issues on application reports using Crystal Reports.
• Participate in multi-agency technical meetings and work sessions.
• Guide & advise various development teams on software design & architecture matters.
• Provide assistance & advise on best practices for using GIT for code versioning & collaboration.
• Coordinate service requests with various ITS Chief Operating Office personnel for releases and changes for the application.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 1 84 Months Experience working on projects with 3 or more years in a leadership role on Salesforce platform.
• 2 84 Months Experience Designing and consuming custom REST and SOAP web services.
• 3 84 Months Experience Implementing secure connections using OAuth 2.0 flows, JWT, Named Credentials, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• 4 36 Months Experience with integration platforms like MuleSoft and Informatica.
• 5 84 Months Experience with Salesforce Apex (Classes, Triggers, Controllers), Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL.
• 6 84 Months Experience with Salesforce Flow Builder (Record-Triggered, Screen, Autolaunched), Validation Rules, Custom Objects, Security Model (OWDs, Sharing Rules, Profiles, Permission Sets).
• 7 60 Months Experience with Git/GitHub, VS Code, Salesforce CLI, SFDX, CI/CD tools (Copado, Gearset, Jenkins), Scratch Orgs, Sandboxes.
• 8 24 Months Experience in integrating AI, prompt engineering, and unified data profiles into custom development.
• 9 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 Any Salesforce Certified Architect certification.
