Job summary

i-Link Solutions seeks a Database Architect – Expert to lead Oracle data warehouses, data marts and OLTP environments. You will craft SQL/PLSQL, guide ETL teams using Informatica PowerCenter and Rhapsody, and ensure data integrity across health data standards such as HIPAA/HL7.

A strong public sector background and PMP credential are valued. Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required; experience in government IT projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1) 84+ months SQL/PLSQL experience with Oracle 12c+; 19c knowledge for Informatica mappings.
• 2) 84+ months experience with Rhapsody routes and large data volumes including XML/HL7.
• 3) 84+ months in Informatica 8.x+ in DW environments and complex mappings.
• 4) 84+ months with Informatica Data Quality in profiling, cleansing, matching.
• 5) 84+ months in system testing (unit/integration/load/perf) and UAT.
• 6) 84+ months in Health Data with HIPAA/HL7 or similar standards.
• 7) 60 months developing project timelines and documenting business requirements.
• 8) 48 months programming on public sector IT projects; PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day tasks include Oracle data warehouses, data marts, and OLTP databases.
• Oversee creation/modification of Oracle database tables as required.
• Write/execute SQL for Oracle queries and Informatica Metadata Repository validation.
• Guide ETL team in development and monitoring of ETL processes using Informatica Power Center and Rhapsody.
• Shape and improve ETL architecture with best practices for Informatica/Rhapsody.
• Investigate design/build issues and data integrity problems; support performance tuning.
• Develop ETL mappings/workflows using mapplets, transformations and worklets.

Description

Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Working with Oracle data warehouses, data marts and OLTP databases.
• Overseeing the creation/modification of Oracle database tables of the appropriate type for the situation.
• Writing/executing SQL for querying various Oracle databases as well as the Informatica Metadata Repository for validating unit and QA testing, monitoring, and for investigating integrity issues.
• Guiding the ETL team in the development and monitoring of ETL processes and test plans using Informatica Power Center and Rhapsody.
• Guiding the ETL team in shaping, enhancing and recommending best practices to the overall ETL (Informatica/Rhapsody) architecture
• Investigating and resolving difficult design and build issues, data loading and data integrity issues.
• Performance tuning Informatica/Rhapsody workflows.
• Using Informatica/Rhapsody to develop ETL mappings and workflows including the use of mapplets, reusable transformations and worklets.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 1 84 Months Experience writing SQL, PL/SQL (stored procedures/functions), with Oracle 12c or higher, including 19c, to Informatica mappings 2 84 months Experience developing Rhapsody routes, including Rhapsody 7, acquiring and managing millions of records of data including XML and HL7 message formats 3 84 Months Experience using Informatica 8.x or higher, including 10.2, in a data warehouse environment including warehousing concepts, design and development of complex mappings 4 84 Months Experience with Informatica Data Quality 8.x or higher, including 10.2, processes, approaches, measurement techniques and business cases for data profiling, data cleansing, standardization, match and merge 5 84 Months Experience specifying and conducting system testing (e.g. unit, integration, regression, load, performance) and user acceptance testing 6 84 Months Experience working with Health Data with HIPAA, HL7 or similar standards 7 60 months experience developing project timelines, gathering and documenting business requirements 8 48 Months experience in programming public sector government IT projects. 9 Project Management Professional Certification
