Job summary

General Dynamics IT seeks a Software Applications Tester with active TS SCI w/ Poly to support Government activities. The role focuses on testing backend services in a microservices architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities include automating and manually testing web and client/server apps, designing test cases, and ensuring quality across SDLC. Regular requisition with strong testing expertise is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related testing experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Hands-on experience writing automated and manual test cases for web and client/server apps using Java, Groovy, Typescript/Javascript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA; frontend frameworks like Vue/React/Angular; databases (SQL/Oracle).
• Version control with Git (GitHub/GitLab, etc.).
• Testing REST APIs/services; Agile environment; understanding SDLC and testing lifecycle.
• Ability to create test cases with positive/negative scenarios; log outcomes with steps and expected vs actual results.
• Experience reporting bugs with reproduction steps, screenshots; knowledge of when to automate vs manual testing.
• Familiarity with JIRA for defects; browser dev tools; basic spreadsheets for test data.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, maintainable backend services in a microservices environment.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and other testers in an Agile setting.
• Analyze requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and log results with traceability.
