Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Software Applications Tester to join our team supporting government activities from McLean, VA/ Chantilly area. You will help build scalable backend services in a microservices architecture while solving complex IT issues and delivering top‑notch customer service.

The role requires highly cleared candidates with active TS SCI w/ Poly and hands‑on testing experience across web and client/server apps, Java/Groovy/TypeScript, and AWS tooling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience writing automated and manual test cases for web and client/server apps using Java, Groovy, TypeScript/Javascript, HTML, CSS.
• Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA proficiency; understanding architecture and concepts.
• Frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular with modern web app design.
• Database design and querying (SQL, Oracle).
• Version control with Git (GitHub, GitLab, etc.).
• Testing APIs and services using REST; Agile environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Support government activities by delivering scalable, maintainable backend services using a microservices architecture.
• Solve complex IT issues while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Provide software development, engineering, database design and software testing for enterprise systems for the IC.
• Work with AWS and ServiceNow in an Agile environment on IC applications.
