Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments in our Michigan stores. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and ensure compliance with company standards while meeting sales and shrink targets.

Effective staffing, career development, and promotion decisions will be part of your responsibilities, along with maintaining a safe work environment and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience and 1 year of management.
• Experience with staffing, coaching, and promotion decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members across store departments.
• Mentor and coach staff; drive customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, hiring, and creating development paths for employees.
• Document disciplinary actions and manage promotions.
• Oversee P&L, sales targets, and shrink control.
• Ensure training completion and adherence to company standards.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Promote a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
