Goodwill Houston is seeking a Soft Lines Merchandising Specialist to sort and prepare donated soft goods for the sales floor. You will organize items by department, hang sellable merchandise, and help maintain efficient backroom operations to maximize profitability.

In this hands-on role, you’ll stay current with market trends, price items, and assist customers while upholding safety and quality standards. Strong communication and reliability are essential for success in a fast-paced nonprofit

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Sort soft goods donations by quality guidelines to maximize production.
• Hang sellable items and organize by department, size, and category.
• Price merchandise using current pricing guidelines and tagging equipment.
• Process donations in backroom to prep for the sales floor.
• Ensure PPE usage and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Assist customers with basic store operations inquiries and merchandise questions.
• Assist with unloading donations and donor assistance as needed.
