Job summary

Coach, a global fashion house founded in New York in 1941, seeks a designer to partner with internal Coach designers on seasonal development, product expectations, and deliverables. You will conduct seasonal trend research, pass color palettes to licensing, and coordinate with teams to ensure timely approvals.

Responsibilities include passing prints to licensing, securing materials, managing development calendars, and following up on samples and approvals to fit production timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design or related field; foreign degree equivalent accepted.
  • Experience examining sample garments on and off models, modifying designs to achieve desired effects.
  • Experience conferring with sales and management executives or with clients to discuss design ideas.
  • Experience selecting materials and production techniques to be used for products.
  • Experience with Computer aided design CAD software - Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal Coach designers on seasonal development, product expectations, and deliverables; ensure alignment.
  • Pass trend research to designers; pass seasonal color palettes to licensing team.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to pass seasonal prints for license approvals and updates.
  • Work with materials team to secure tie back materials across retail and outlet.
  • Manage development calendar; follow up on sample statuses and approvals.
