Job summary

KBR is seeking a Special Operations Performance Dietitian to provide nutrition guidance and counseling to SOF personnel at JFKSWCS Ft. Bragg, NC, under the POTFF contract.

The role emphasizes recovery optimization and performance nutrition with duties across clinical and field settings. The candidate must hold an RD, CSSD (or be willing to obtain within six months), US citizenship, and a valid state license, with 3+ years of related experience and ability to work in austere environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition Science or related field.
• RD with CSSD certification; CSSD must be earned within six months if waived.
• Current state certification/licensure.
• Minimum 3 years as a Performance Dietitian with athletes/SOF in relevant settings.
• Fluent English communication (oral and written).
• Able to meet physical demands, hike rough terrain, and work in austere environments.
• Lift and handle loads up to 25 kg.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform admin and clinical duties within scope of practice.
• Provide nutrition planning, counseling, and documentation guided by evidence-based literature.
• Advise chain of command on nutrition and performance issues.
• Design and implement performance nutrition programs for SOF in various settings.
• Collaborate with HP program Manager/Coordinator on new protocols and guidelines.
• Advise on dining facility/galley nutrition and liaison with food service and command.
• Maintain records and participate in training and quality assurance functions.
