Job summary

Maximus seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer to deliver sports medicine services within a high‑performing human performance team for SOF personnel. The role focuses on injury mitigation, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, with collaboration across medical staff to elevate care quality for Service Members.

Locations include Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg, Hurlburt Field, and others; candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active Secret clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience required.
• Current licensed therapist valid in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required; master’s or clinical doctorate preferred.
• Current state license required; licensure in CA/HI encourages reciprocal licensing.
• Current NATA BOC certification as an Athletic Trainer required.
• Minimum of five years of demonstrable ATC experience with notable athletic programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee injury mitigation, evaluation, treatment, and rehab within the POTFF program.
• Supervise project staff and coordinate with leadership on performance goals.
• Develop and implement improved project operations and quality initiatives.
• Document services in enterprise-wide health platforms per directives.
• Bridge clients between rehabilitation and strength/conditioning services.
• Provide ATC services under physician/physician assistant/therapist supervision.
